ASUNCION: Some Uruguayan internationals were suspended by South American soccer organization CONMEBOL on Wednesday as a result of events that occurred during the Copa America semifinal matchup against Colombia in July.
Liverpool striker Darwin Núñez will be out for five Uruguay fixtures, while Tottenham midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur was banned for four matches.
